Higgins-Post Class(11/5)

Looking at the posts before mine I started to think on how I could culminate the overall message of all of them. One thing that stood out to me was this essence of overall corporate domination, meaning that there is a higher power that seems to control media as a whole. Without realizing it "they" control  what we watch and how long we are able to watch it for. For example, the article below mine discusses the OBEY piece where once again a higher power is brought up as an all seeing eye to keep society in check. Call it big brother if you will, nonetheless major media stations are designed to captivate and guide the viewer down a path that has already been pre-selected, even pre-scripted. Take a look at this video I came across in PR class that literally shows a nationally pre-scripted dialogue that forces all of it's new channels to use.

If you watched the video, you will see first hand how the media stations have made it so the entire country will be exposed to the EXACT same time of dialogue. There are many more examples of this that Conan has found but I felt like the one above was the best. The future seems to loom to this side of more and more control by public media titans, that decide how much every show will be played and when. For example, I noticed the amount of shows/movies that have come out since the Iraq War started have been astonishing. All of which have to be pre-approved by the government, which goes to show once again, everything is controlled.
