(In the print to the right we can see how farms used to be used for farming, and now they are begin taken over by capitalist giants and companies looking for nothing but money and filled with greed)In the previous class, we focused on society and culture, and what is culture now. We started off by talking about how culture used to be about art and learning back in generations previous, and now it seems that we are stuck in a time period where entertainment and leisure is dominant in our society. Our society is filled with subcultures, which are places that people can feel apart of something other than what society wants us to be. There are people who listen to music and can find a hangout at the local record shop, or dancers, who find passion at the local studio. It is these subcultures that creates such a diverse culture in our society. Many of those who have not been raised in this generation of technology and fast moving society, feel as though they don't belong. My mom specifically doesn't understand a need for the computer and connections through social media and dominating society. I quoted queen as we can interoperate this quotation as that of where are we know in society and what is reality. It seems that we are stuck in a world of virtual reality with social media. Although there are positives for it connecting the world, there are also many downfalls, that can be seen everywhere from Facebook and social issues, to relationship and lying on the show "catfish." People can become something that they are not and people don't have a true identity in the real world. People need to experience what the real world has to offer. The natural beauty of the earth is being destroyed everyday by developing malls and etc, and taking away the land that god has provided us. Is this the real life, is this just fantasy, caught in a landslide, no escape from reality-queen
